5/oct/2024: Citrouilleville is more or less 50-75min from Mtl. Their website recommendation is to buy your tickets online before going. The place was extremely crowded with families (videos were taken at closing -5pm), pet friendly lot of dogs. This activity is made for toddlers and young kids between babies and 10 yrs old, older than that they'll get bored pretty quickly. The space is quite small, taking away the wait lines from the food stands you can walk around the place in less than 1h (40min). Nice corn maze you can spend about 15-20 min trying to find your way out and it's free! Basically, it's a Pumpkin Carnival: entrance 10$+tx; food is extra of course between 2$ for a corn, 3$ a🍟, a 🌭, soda each, 22$ for a poutine with pork, 6$ for candy cotton and a pumpkin frappé each and cat rental 5$. I'm not enough of a connaisseuse of pumpkins to know if they were fresh but it seemed popular: 12$ a large pumpkin, smaller 6$ and tiny ones 3$. There's a show with some mascots playing for the kids from 1pm to 4pm included. Other than walking around the pumpkin "houses" and watching the farm animalsNOTE that all activities are extra cost 20$ for 11 tokens. So the train ride with tiny wagons, the games (trampoline, catching the duck, darts to win a stuffed animal, etc) and entering the farm to chase the hens all of it you'll need tokens. Get your wallet ready cuz it's at least 200$ for a large family. There was a beer stand which was nice since it was sunny and hot that day, 8$ each can or 27.50$ for a 4 pack. Overall, it was an entertaining going out, I got to buy fresh corn but definitely not going back...
Read moreCitrouilleville is a delightful seasonal destination that truly lives up to its name—a whimsical “pumpkin town” experience that’s perfect for families with young children. My visit, which happened to be on the last day of the season, was well-organized from the start, with efficient parking marshals who helped with both parking and crossing the busy street. Accessibility is clearly a priority here; the entire site is wheelchair-friendly, making it a suitable outing for those with limited mobility.
As for the attractions, Citrouilleville has something for everyone, especially the little ones. From live shows and a charming train ride to food kiosks, a petting zoo, and even a corn maze, there’s no shortage of ways to keep young children entertained. For photo enthusiasts, the entire place is a paradise of picturesque spots perfect for family snapshots. I appreciated the convenience of portable washrooms set up around the site—a thoughtful addition given the thousands of visitors in attendance. Despite the high turnout, the layout of the venue is spacious enough that it never felt overly crowded.
While it might be a bit less engaging for older kids or adults visiting alone, Citrouilleville is a true gem for families with young children. It’s easy to see why it’s such a popular spot for creating special...
Read moreWe had the most amazing Saturday afternoon! Ive been to so many pumpkin patches throughout the years but never one like this. There were LOADS of people but it didn’t feel crowded. Everything is so well organized and clean. The staff is extremely helpful, lots of security and food options at affordable prices which is not something you see anymore. Everyone speaks English and French and the pumpkins were already picked and laying on the ground scattered throughout the site so you can enjoy the activities while picking pumpkins. They sell chariots so you dont have to carry your pumpkins and the walk through the site is stroller compatible - I wouldnt say friendly cause its not exactly paved but we carried our son on us and brought the stroller in case we got tired and we managed well. Theres no bathrooms just porta potties but they have sections throughout and they’re seriously the cleanest porta potties ive ever seen they even have portable sinks with soap. They’ve really thought of everything you can tell some serious care goes into this setup. We will be back likely every year...
