This is a beautiful park, with multiple hiking trails and a main trail that even those with strollers or those who are mobility reduced can use. You can fish here ($19 per adult, $7 per child over 6, 5 and under are free) or just pay to get in and hike the trails if you are not fishing (prices are less expensive than if you are fishing). At the main entrance, there are bathrooms. The trails are marked on an easy to read map. There are lots of stunning views, dense forest and lots of animals to see! Above all, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the park was clean and well maintained. There is also a little area at the main entrance with picnic tables, a little shaded gazebo and a play structure for kids to play on! You can do fly fishing here, or bait fishing and they sell live worms at the main entrance. A hidden jewel, I would highly recommend going there as a family or even...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I spent the afternoon here today. Despite it being a rainy day, it was a lot of fun! Entry was $7/adult, and there was a tiny parking lot just beside the entrance. Of note, there did seem to be a ton of people parked on the side of the road, didn't seem to be a problem.

We chose to do a few other trails before leaving, and each of the hiking paths are very well indicated. There's a few that follow the river (gravel) that are well-suited for families and young children, they're not super difficult. Our favorite one was #2, which follows the river and rocks!.
We didn't bring food for a picnic, but there seemed to be a sheltered area at the entrance with portable toilets.
Dogs seemed to be welcomed...
Read moreNicer views during fall, the contrast of the Nordic trees with their green is amazing with the reddish maple trees. Not very high, very short hike to the top of the mountain. Great for families, beginners and injured athletes to get fit. I recommend you to go to Kaaikop next, it's a great step up if you like hikes. Unlike Kaaikop, Doncaster is full of people, dogs, families and elderly people. You'll feel like people are more attracted to Doncaster because of the light walks on La Familiale Est and Ouest and because of the beautiful waterfall. It's pretty small but the sound is very calming and you keep wondering where all this water comes from and goes because of how fast it is coming...
