+1 for Google Maps search for attractions. We chanced to go around the island of d’ Orléans counter-clockwise. This was our last stop, and the most charming. We walked in with zero research. The wonderfully helpful staff got us up to speed with how to go about and set us up with iPads and wired headphones. Payment was easy as a tap-to-pay. We went with 2 iPads for the 4 of us, parents in tow, kids driving the iPads. You point around the rooms, pick objects by the numbers, and click on each to see a video recording explaining the history of the house and the family around that object. We spent a good hour or so going through the 27 exhibits. Kids were engaged all through thanks to the augmented reality aspect. While at it also visit the cheese shop next door!

Cette maison est typique du 18e siècle et c'est un véritable voyage dans le temps que nous avons fait. Très intéressant de pouvoir effectuer la visite avec une tablette. Mention spéciale à Chantal qui est très accueillante et qui a su répondre à nos questions. Vraiment, un arrêt recommandé si vous êtes de passage sur l'île d'Orléans qui est le berceau de la Nouvelle-France.

On y ressent le poids de près de 300 ans d’histoire, tout en découvrant son passé.
