Mont Kaaikop — Attraction in Sainte-Lucie-des-Laurentides

The hike up Month Kaaikop was alright! Unfortunately, It must had rained before I showed up as there there was lots of wet mud and the rocks had been slippery.

If recommend wearing good hiking shoes as there's lots of rocks to walk on and lots of steep moments where good grip will definitely help you.

Très belle randonnée! Les sentiers sont bien balisés et entretenus, tout en gardant un aspect naturel, pas trop aménagé. Nous avons fait le petit tour et, même sans trop s’attarder, ça reste un bon 2 à 3 heures de marche. Le niveau de difficulté est accessible, mais ça demeure exigeant physiquement. J’imagine qu’après une pluie ou une petite neige, les sentiers peuvent devenir boueux et la difficulté peut monter d'un cran.

J’ai beaucoup apprécié l’expérience quoi que je m’attendais à une vue spectaculaire avec un cap de roche ou un belvédère donnant sur les montagnes, mais le sommet est plutôt simple et non aménagé. C’était beau on s'est juste dit « ah bon, on est arrivé… on redescend! 😅 ».
