A great little walk nearby the Town of Waskesiu. Located right near the park gate, it is a perfect way to spend an hour in the woods. An easy trail to walk, it is beautiful walk from the tall pine trees to the big and back. Informational stops explain the nature around you. A beautiful boardwalk takes you through the big to the edge of the water. It is so interesting how the trees change as you get closer to the big, and the. Loop back. Only a 2 km walk, can be done by adults and kids alike. Stroller friendly boardwalk mean anyone can go for this little hike....

Update 2025: they re-did the boardwalk and signs along the trail and it is very nice! There are some new benches along the way if you need to rest or take in the surroundings. Our favorite trail when we come to Waskesiu!

Boundary bog is about a 40 minute hike through the trees down to the water and back. Part of the trail is boardwalk so an easy walk for most of it. Great scenery as well. If you take the guide booklet there are markers along the way with little bits of information. Good for the...

Boundary Bog is a favourite stop. An easy walk with meandering boardwalks to a deck on open water doesn’t take long, but you can spend a lot more time looking for tiny things and appreciating the silence or birdsong. No biting insects at this time of year but be well prepared for them in the summer. Then, you will be rewarded by tons of dragonflies, pitcher plants, and sundews. Lots of informative signs, too. I will never skip this trail when visiting Prince Albert...
