Hiked to the cabin and back in one day. It was too much, but we couldn’t get a campsite except for at the start of the trail. Bring water-proof hiking boots, mosquito spray with deet, bear spray and life straw water bottles as you will be drinking the lake water. If you want to rely on wood for cooking, good luck.
