The Schreiber Railway Museum is a tiny but mighty opportunity to revel in the joyous history of the Canadian Pacific Railway. The museum is free. There is not a whole lot to it. But what they have is entertaining. There are a couple of galleries with train information and a train car full of train memorabilia and other antiques and historic artifacts from the town. It is not the most professionally curated museum I've ever seen, but it's far from the worst. There is also a train car with a video showing history of the CPR through Schreiber and a little bit of a promotional video discussing Schreiber’s benefits. The video shown in a recreated railroad coach car is very cool because of the scenic images projected onto the coach windows. The main video, created in 2021, is modern and very informative. The staff person was very friendly and helpful. Well worth the visit. The parking area has room for several big travel trailers / big rigs. There is a rest room in the museum. Admission is by donation....
Read moreSaw this on our way up to Thunder Bay and wanted to stop by on our way back. It did not disappoint. Admission is free but takes donations which I would recommend as there's tremendous value. Great short film about the rail history here. My boys were given some special rocks that light up with a 365 black light they looked amazing. Staff was very friendly and welcoming.
