I choose Ocala Winery as my wedding venue! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Firstly, the property is charming and beautiful! The well kept orchard offers a variety of fruit trees including apples, pears, plums, and more.

The owner Lin is a kind and lovely woman! I worked very closely with the Ocala Winery Events Coordinator, Franca who was FANTASTIC! From the start, Franca assured me that she would be there every step of the wedding coordination process. We worked through where exactly I would like my ceremony (which was in the beautiful back orchard), and everything top to bottom related to the reception and plan for the day. Weddings are a LOT of work, but Franca made the experience pleasant and easy. She is an excellent communicator, and helped me work out the finest details of the day and even suggested many ideas that I worked into my day. I truly could have not had the wedding I envisioned without her. Thank you, Franca!!!

The Winery's preferred caterer, Jeanne, was also FANTASTIC!! Jeanne (ilove2cook) offered a delicious menu of freshly prepared appetizers, sides, mains, and dessert for our wedding reception! Not only is she a wonderful chef, but she is also extremely kind.

I would also like to thank all of the staff whom I did not mention by name. You were all so kind, helpful, and went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make our wedding day special! Thank you to Amanda who helped us with the setup process and for even helping me carry the train of my dress up the stairs for my grand entrance. I was at Ocala Winery for a wedding in August 2022. This was the first time I'd been there as a wedding photographer. I absolutely loved all the different spaces available. There are ducks and chickens running around and I am so about that haha. So cute! There is a small back room available for getting ready in the main building. The bride got ready there but unfortunately, it is windowless. Therefore, I got the bride to do her finishing touches on the front covered porch. (No one else had arrived.) It has a really nice quality of light! My clients held their ceremony in the front orchard. Really beautiful view and set-up. Thankfully the sun backlights the location in the summer which is the best-case scenario for ceremonies taking place in the afternoon. There's another orchard in the back which we used for wedding party photos. Lots of options for different photo locations with minimal walking! The reception space is for smaller guest lists. It was cosy and intimate. I think it's important to note that there is no A/C in this space. I think that this location is a great option for your Durham Region wedding venue! I hope I'm...
