It's a decent park that my family visits often. Apparently it once was being developed as something but the project was abondoned.

It's hard to explain but it has a huge grassy area with many spread out picnic tables and garbage cans are around to collect your garbage. It is a great place to go to for a family bbq at the park. We often roll in our day camping equipment and bbq and spend an afternoon.

Now you may wonder why I give 3 stars and give such a nice review, there are holes all over their grass. It is so dangerous mbig dips in the ground. I have fallen twice now. I do worry about our dogs that we bring to the...

Almost completely abandoned by the Provincial Government. The inner roadway is are 95% gravel. The west side road by the creek is cordoned off. The perch to view the river and Rundle Park has been removed. Only one standing building left and unopen to the public. No maintance, no policing, absolutely no will or attempt at a Science park. Wonderful usage of tax money. Yes, sarcasm. You'll get a view, nice breeze and a wee bit of history. If that's what you want, then go. If you expect...

The park was once an aboriginal camp and the park was established to preserve the site from encroaching industrial development.

The park contains several abandoned interpretive buildings which unfortunately are now shuttered. Remnants of the park's history as a public science center include triangular obelisks, a boardwalk and some interpretive plaques.

Another discovery in the glorious city which I am fortunate enough to call home. Definitely a repeat visit...

As a photographer and a hiker I have spent many hours at this park. It is one of my favorites in Edmonton for many reasons. It has the best sunset in all of the city, the walking trails are great, you can easily access the river, lots of birds/flowers, and it is usually not busy. The only downside would be the lack of maintenance and the train that can sometimes block the entrance. Otherwise a great place to spend an evening in any season.

A hidden gem of Edmonton. While it seems in the middle of an industrial area, it is perfect for biking on its various difficulties of trails and, has many hiking trails of various lengths. At night, the sky is clearer than the city. Beware, the entrance is intersected by a train track. You could get stuck waiting for a train to pass while getting out.

We hiked through here in snow covered trails. Didn't have any markers on where the path actually was and was not plowed so had a hard time walking the dog through the park. Followed some trails made by others, the cliff / water path was very icy in spots. Came across a well fed coyote. Will need to go back in nicer season and re-rate.
