The gift shop was decent, but my family of 6 went to get ice cream and then after three ice creams thier machine froze and the girl working there knew because she made us wait before paying to see how many she would get and didn't tell us before when she saw we had 6 people. She also said the cup size was twice as big than it actually is. The hot fudge wasn't even hot and they don't have the proper machine to keep it warm, she scooped it out with a spoon, it wasn't worth the money. She didn't even put up a sign or anything saying that it was frozen and a family with 2 young kids came in and the little boy started crying because he couldn't get his ice cream. Tom...

This is worthy of a stop. There was Saturday entertainment when we went. It was crowded, and we were not able to find seating.

You order your food and then go back to pick it up. There is a bar if you are so inclined, along with a gift shop.

If you were born and raised on the island, you can certainly appreciate the excellent reputation the singer Stompin Tom has. He is a legend in these parts. For us, we were learning about him for the first time.

The quality of the performances will likely depend on the singer on stage.

It was interesting to learn about Stompin Tom and the life he lived, but I'm not sure if I would want to go back there for an evening...

Stopped in at the Stompin’ Tom Connors Centre for supper tonight and decided to try the bacon cheeseburger poutine. Imagine my surprise when it showed up… with no cheese at all. Now, I’m no culinary expert, but I’m pretty sure two things in life are certain: 1. Poutine comes with cheese. 2. If you put the word “CHEESEburger” in the name, there should probably be cheese involved. When I asked the fellow at the cash if cheese was missing, he said, “Nope, that’s how it comes.” 🤷‍♂️ The place itself is nice, and the vibe is great, but if you’re ordering a cheeseburger poutine here, bring your imagination… or a bag of cheese curds from home.
