Great place to play with your dog or go kayaking. The water is sandy and shallow so you have to walk out a ways to get fairly deep. It’s not busy which is nice. You can wind through the channel if you’re kayaking (which is what we did) or canoeing, just make sure to stay away from the boats passing through. Once you get through the channel and paddle around the islands, the water and rocks are gorgeous. Definitely a fun activity. Just make sure to go when it’s not too windy.

Most Beautiful Beach on the Peninsula. Home to Boat The Bruce Cruises as well as Paddle The Bruce Rentals and Fish The Bruce Charters. It’s the hub of all water activities and things to do while you visit the Bruce Peninsula.

Quiet, peaceful beach area. Lake is very shallow, perfect for wading. Washrooms at the main parking lot were scrupulously clean and fresh smelling.

This is a dog friendly beach that is not littered with human garbage left by tourists - the folks who use this beach are respectful and pick up after themselves and their dogs.

The water is shallow for quite a distance and is ideal to walk out with your dog.

In summer folks use it for water recreation (wind surfing, kayaking, etc.)

Residents welcome all who wish to use this beach.

For my part, I just hope if this review attracts folks with or without their dogs that they will be respectful and take their garbage with them and clean up after their pets so that we can all continue to enjoy this dog friendly beach.

Aside: Oliphant also had a dog...

Quiet beach as compared to others in the Bruce. Fun place for dog owners and parents with young children, as warm waters and very shallow for a long ways into the water. Only downside is its more rocks than sandy beach area so suggest you wear water shoes at this beach. Very clean washrooms on site, doggie bags available near the washrooms so please help keep the area clean by picking up after your dog and of course your family as well. Garbage bins available on your wsy out of the...
