This park is a relaxing and picturesque rest area if you are heading toward Tobermory or elsewhere. Locals obviously love it too. You can buy food and ice cream here, take a little walk by the stream or play on the nice playground. People fill up their bottles at the artesian well. It doesn't say the water is safe for drinking, but that doesn't seem to deter them. Sad to see this time through that there's a sign saying the restrooms could be closed because they're being 'abused'. They looked fine today. You can make a donation to help with the upkeep of the park (there's a box for $ where the restrooms are). One improvement would be a hands-free faucet on the sink. Otherwise...
   Read moreI love love Mildmay Park. I have been stopping here every summer while traveling to Southampton and Home for the past 40 years. When I was little there use to be Swans and different types of ducks in the pond. The play ground is great for kids of all ages, my favorite is the yellow horses , which my siblings and I loved as kids and now as adults will still take a small ride on one. There is a public washroom which is very clean and maintained. On premises is a food stand , you can even get ice cream here.
