Great camping experience. There is a platform where you can place your tent with hooks to secure it. Quiet, washroom are pit but super clean, with toilet paper and Sanitizer. Close the lid, after use it as per kind request of the Park, so it stay clean. There is drinking water, no electricity. The uphill camping sites are the best. They are close to the trail and the beaches. Although, there is a small catch, in order to access the sites uphill, you have to bring your staff with a baril provided from the park. There is free parking at the bottom. To keep the quiet and healthy the Park, vehicles are not allowed up there, but it's totally worthed. Cheap to rent , also there is a group site with a covered area with picnic tables. Each site has a picnic table and platform, some sites have 2 platform for 2 tents or morenif your tentbis small. Our tent was big, sleeps 4, And from the pictures we had a smal walking area in front. There are no bears in the island, only racoons and bears, the site has also a lock box for your food to save it from the racoons, that visit in the night, but are discreet. The beaches are white from all the small broken shells. There is a beautiful trail and if you go around early in the morning when there isbthe tide, you can see the marine life, crabs, and starfish. ...

DON'T STAY HERE!!!!

Not family friendly, at all. We are a family of 6, 2 adults with 4 children. When we arrived after the office was closed, a man came to our campsite, told us we needed to register and why didn't we have reservations, even though it was after labor Day so you can't make reservations. I was using my generator to power the air pump to blow up our air mattresses and he ordered us to shut it off because it was after 8pm and you can only use a generator from 9-11am and 6-8 pm there. The children were playing at 5:00 pm, an employee came over to our campsite and ordered the children to keep it down. She didn't politely ask, she ordered. They were playing hide and seek, a pretty quiet game. Rude people work there. Kids can't play there. They won't make an exception to the rules (that we didn't know about because the office was closed when we arrived) so children don't have to sleep on the ground. Will never return. Horrible...

Beautiful place but some of the staff are pretty useless. The first night the young lady knew I didn't have a car and didn't even mention how they have a big problem with raccoons. I hung my food but not completely properly for raccoons and they got my food. Next day I left some dishes out to dry and the older man who works there picked them up, which is fine, but he then threw one of my pots in the garbage because it had a little bit of black of the bottom. Not even giving any time to see if somebody comes back for it. He then proceeds to tell me that it was a 2 dollar pot, it was actually an msr set for backpacking, and that he isn't going to dig through the garbage to get it. The lady who works there starts to defend him but goes into the garbage herself to get my pot. All in all terrible customer service but pretty...

Gorgeous setting and terrific pub! If you're sailing there, be sure to arrive earlier in the day. Marina dock space is almost NEVER available, and mooring buoys fill up fast. If full, try the Anchorage on the North side of the lagoon; great sunset spot. If your timing is right, be sure to get up in the middle of the night and swirl a paddle through the water... Montague is a great spot for bioluminescence. If camping is your thing, row ashore to the Parks dock where lots of high-quality walk-in only sites are available. Mooring buoys were $14 per night and campsites $25 when we were there in late July 2023.

This is our family’s favourite campsite. Historic and beautiful white shell beaches formed from a midden where Indigenous people used to harvest shellfish. Stunning sunsets, diverse choice of campsites, and a lot of nature to explore from ocean, forest, bog to bioluminescence, seals, eagles and more. We’ve been coming here for almost twenty years. A gem on Galiano Island. Don’t worry if you can’t reserve. There is usually room in the field.
