My mother's hometown. People keep taking the glass which is asked not to. I read one review where the person was like, "really?" YES REALLY DON'T TAKE THE GLASS doesn't matter if it's millions of pieces. People keep taking it it will no longer be Glassy Beach but just a small beach. I can't believe people are saying things like it's small, not a place for children to play. It's not an actual beach for swimming etc, it's just a beach of sea glass. If you're going to visit, take in it's quiet beauty and that's it, don't take it's glass. Just don't. It's not a 5 star world class tourist destination, it's just a quiet, smalltown beach attraction. So leave the glass, take your photo and enjoy it...

The place has several insects so would definitely recommend carrying a bug spray..the walk to the beach is a bit complex with uneven surfaces and roots all around. The glasses are not huge in number.
