I had visited last year and been out twice this year, the staff has improved from the previous, met a rather large young man I seen him weed whacking and our power kept going out. He diagnosed the problem hot weather and an AC with a clogged filter kept tripping the breaker by working harder.
When he finished I caught him in the club house later in the day and it was refreshing to see a couple working at the same place as his wife was serving.
He explained there has been a fair bit of employee turn around and apologized about the wait as staffing was short. Most importantly this young man, very sharp individual he made some wise investments trading something younger (than his already young appearance) and said to me if this place could run properly he would consider donating 3/4's of a million dollars to Improve it but due to issues internally he doesn't see the sense.
I can't wait to run into him again see if things have improved because besides his great company I wonder if they have seen improvement, sorry I forgot your name you made my trip to Carlton trail a real...

I would really appreciate if they were more consistent with having driving range balls available during operating hours and if they removed the red spray paint from them. I don’t like having to clean my clubs every time I use the range due to paint transfer. They are more than likely repurposed balls golfers had lost to begin with, no need to be stingy with them possibly being stolen if they aren’t yours to begin with guys.
They also need to be more communicative about groundskeepers activities. I’ve had to wait half an hour once I got to the range to wait for the groundskeeper to finish mowing.
Finally, a driving range with no yardage signs? Really? C’mon…
Regardless, it’s an extremely nice park in every other aspect except for the...
Read moreGreat park, beautiful with lots of amenities. Minigolf was great, and there are many parks and walking trails to enjoy for families. My older kids enjoyed the driving range.
It was difficult to get firewood and pretty pricey. I received a pile at 7pm my first day there for $40 that lasted me less than 24 hours. I asked the next day at 1pm for more firewood and paid. I checked in at 5pm if I would receive my firewood soon as I had to make supper for my kids and required the fire. I was told it would come at 8pm, as the employee who would deliver my wood was golfing. So, I drove to Langenburg and bought firewood from the Esso.
I might return another weekend, but I will maybe order firewood from elsewhere and have it delivered when I arrive. I should have asked more questions when I booked the...
