It's a spacious, beautiful, safe, well-designed, multi-purpose park along the Waterford River is a blessed gem in our city with its natural beauty of the ponds, birds (ducks, geese, swans, etc.), a wide variety of old trees, flowerbeds, numerous walking trails, playgrounds, the very large, outdoor pool, the uniquely designed bridge, the outdoor amphitheatre the Bungalow for events, and more. There are two parking lots; the west one is very big. The dog park is across the street from it. There are also washrooms at both ends. Accessibility: There are many blue zones for parking for persons with disabilities. The wide, paved road through the park makes it accessible for everyone to go from one end to the other. Most of the walking trails through the woods are accessible, but note they are pebblestone, tree roots and of course there are slopes. So, some renovations to increase accessibility for those who have difficulty walking, such as rails, gentler sloping, boardwalks, pavement, etc. would be valuable improvements! The flagstone around the west duck pond looks lovely but is a nightmare for anyone with a walking or visual disability! The hidden amphitheatre's washrooms were locked (to keep out vandals and the homeless I assume), but the people's...

A great park for all ages! Whether an outing with family, a meet with a date or a walk with your dog, this park is great. Offers seasonal swimming pool, splash pad, washrooms, concession stand, events and holiday decor. Flowers to gaze upon in summer and hills to slide upon in winter. There are a lot of wide trails to walk around the large park and is wheelchair accessible. The playground is popular with the kids and is wheelchair accessible and made for children of all shapes, sizes and abilities. The ponds and streams are beautiful and it's a beautiful park for photographs in every season. Includes a wedding venue and is great for picnics and portrait photography. Gave 4 stars instead of 5 just because compared to other parks I've visited in Canada it doesn't offer as much as I'd like such as bicycle rentals, dog park,...

Always a nice walk and experience - in any part of the park! It has something for everyone.

There is plenty of wildlife, lots of space, and some very nice views (considering it's a park within the metro area).

For anyone who wants to get outdoors with your dog, feed the ducks, or take a nice walk - this is the place! They also have Koi in their manmade pond which I did not realize until my last visit.

When walking the trails, it can be quite discouraging to see the amount of trash tossed on the ground. It seems like a lot of the garbage is food packaging (ice cream wrappers, bar wrappers, chip bags, etc.).

There are plenty of trash cans in place but it seems like there are notable distances between cans at certain times on the trail; I'm hoping (as someone who frequents the park) these issues can...

Bowering park is a beautiful . It changes from season to season. In the warmer months you can easily access all the trails. It is great for all ages. It has many amenities. During the warmer months it includes a seasonal splash pad, a swimming pool, a skate park, a pool house , duck ponds, rivers, a green house, and a kids play ground area. Also there is a bungalow inside the park where you can book events and have it catered. The trails are wonderful to discover. Some are designed for an easy stroll along the pathways laced with ornamental flowers and trees. Other's are a bit more challenging walking along side the beautiful Waterford Bridge River.

Love walking around the park mostly during the Summer and Fall, but the walkways are cleared in the Winter as well. There are lots of trails throughout the park, as well as a paved main roadway. Suitable for all abilities, and for pushing strollers/wheelchairs. As well, there are many benches throughout the park. The park has ducks, swans and the other day we seen a mink! The skate park, and playground were pretty busy with kids. In the Winter, around Christmas, the park is lit up in evening with festive lighting.
