Super cool photo opportunity- to get the beginning of the Trans Canada Highway, one of the longest highways on the world.

It starts in Newfoundland and ends in Victoria BC.

The plaque is located outside a building, quite easy to miss if one is navigating based on Google maps. It’s near a connecting bridge across the road.

Nowhere to park so it’s best to park somewhere...

The mile zero monument is, as others have mentioned, not actually on the Trans Canada Highway (HW 1). The monument is next to the St. John's City Hall (address 10 New Gower St.) building at the intersection of New Gower St. and Adelaide St.
