Lester's Farm Market — Attraction in St. John's

The things you sell are good but I'm very upset at the price tongo in and see the animals. My childen and their friend growing up loved to go in. We would buy feed then have an ice cream and I would get baked goods and veggies. Many times some flowers and or pumpkins. We would sometimes do the corn maze too. Now to payb10 per person to just go in is crazy. My daughter and her husband brought my grandaughter the other day and they were told it would be 30 for them to go in. It was 10 even for a 17 month old, They had to walk away. You have lost a lot of business because of this crazy charge. Some families have 3 and 4 children. That would be 100, Most can't pay that per family. When my girls were young it would have been 80. I'm glad this charge wasn't there then. They have so many great memories of going to see, feed, get ice cream etc there. Too bad my grandchildren won't have the same memories. We can't afford that and then except us to pay extra for things there as well. Also, want us to buy baked goods and veggies and ice cream if it's still there....

On the upside, Lester's Farm Market offers really fresh and good quality locally grown produce, confections, manufactured and baked goods. Staff are super friendly and follow Health Canada and provincial regulations for their staff and customers.

We like to support locally grown and sold produce through local channels, which strengthens the local economy, kudos on that front. In general quality is really good, we stopped to look around and get some herbs and produce, good shopping experience.

The place was bustling with customers of all ages, and given the seasons... Everything was cinnamon and pumpkin spice themed.

We will definitely drop by on a purposeful shopping trip in order to further gauge pricing that at a first glance seemed high, though that would make sense of they're supporting local producers and if they're actually paying fair salaries... Will update once we have a better...
