The Guides are very helpful in explaining all the historical aspects of the vaults and wine conservation in St-John's. The tasting is also included in the price of entry which makes it even more interesting. So if you are not into drinking port wine at 9 AM, program your visit for later in the day. Having visited Portugal, I can tell you the wine is authentic and offers a true Português experience.

The tours are free and the hosts are very well versed. It is not an overly vast bond, so don't expect vaults and vaults and vaults. It is relatively small but offers a very vivid history.
