Having visited Portugal, I can tell you the wine is authentic and offers a true Português experience. The tours are free and the hosts are very well versed. It is not an overly vast bond, so don't expect vaults and vaults and vaults. It is relatively small but offers a very vivid history. One taste is included, it is free. Unfortunately, you're not able to tip the servers for their hard work. It is a beautiful space, recently renovated and modern, to be admired.

A small historical site but very interesting to visit with its long history in St. John's and the original structure still intact. The outside is rather unassuming but the vaults inside are well kept up with friendly staff and fascinating history to read on a self lead tour. You can even try a sample of the famous port! A very cool historical stop in downtown St. John's.

Interesting part of Newfoundland's history. We came by because we had a bit of time to kill before our flight. It was worth the low entry cost, but there's not much going on in there. You get a tour and a tasting of Port wine with admission. There was a fun game of trying to guess the different wine notes/aromas. I think we were in there for about 30 min.

Stumbled upon this gem and loved it! Friendly and knowledgeable interpreters, and the experience can be made as long or short as you like. Free wine tasting was a bonus. I've never tried Newman Port Wine before, but this place definitely convinced me to pick up a few bottles!

Nice mini-wine tour. Walking distance from downtown, great place to discover and learn more about wine trading history! We tried the wine sample and it was great!! 4$ pass for students and with the card you get to enter the commissariat house and the rooms! 😎

We were recommended this by the tourist office. Not that far from the end of Water st. The tour was very interesting. Well led and to top it off a taste of the port at the end. Which by the way was not half bad for a ruby. It is a free tour.
