Victoria park is a small urban green space with a decent well used Ball Diamond for summer and a fast toboggan hill for winter. It is also home to the Victoria Falls and Gorge, which appear below the Ball Diamond during heavy rain. Run-off from the Ball Diamond cascades attractively down the steep bank onto the footpath below. Fortunately the catch basins are fully clogged with sand and gravel from previous rainfall events, so the torrent carves a delightful little gorge through the path before opening in an attractive Delta by the off leash Park. The photos provided are of the park during the event so maybe not wholly representative of the park all year round. But it's a great sledding spot in the winter and sometimes is one of the quieter parks in town, though it can suffer some for its location...

It's a great place in the heart of the city to enjoy the sun, take in a baseball game, sledding or even just take advantage of the free wi-fi. It's also perfect for social distancing because the park is never very busy even in the heart of summer. Lantern Festival is a must visit. I look forward to more events happening...
