A very nice place to go and check out, relax for a while. May get a chance to see some cool, nice boats, ships passing through the canal. Visitors and locals also fish there. If you like to fish, bring along your rod, chair, etc. Teepee set up with a cool light that looks so nice as darkness comes. Food and drinks are also available. Picnic tables along the canal with garbage, recycle disposal. Bathroom available. Not a whole lot of parking available all the time but most come by and leave. A must...

An excellent place for the whole family. Everyone who loves boats will love this place. You can interact with people going up and down the canal in and out of Bras D'Or. Everyone we saw had a fun adventurous story and they were all eager to have human conversation after being on a long boat ride in summertime. You can easily spend a couple hours. Bring a lunch and something to drink and hang out a while. Its free and the grounds are open all year. The canal is open for boats mostly in...

Nice stop to have a picnic lunch while charging the electric car. Lots of bars on the cell phone but could not transmit or receive data. Maybe because there was a couple hundred extra people there for a swimming race about to start.

A very cool place to visit. Definitely chat up the lockmaster if you get a chance. It's one thing to read the placards posted along the canal but much more engaging to speak with someone that actually works there.

Great experience seeing how the canal works. Interesting history that I learned. Staff are super friendly and always willing to answer your questions. We were lucky to see three boats crossed thru the locks.
