Been to a lot of dog parks all over the lower mainland and this is still the best one we always come back to. We live in North Delta and itās about a 16-20 min. drive from us and weāve been coming here consistently for about 1+ years now.
⢠Huge, fenced off-leash park with both a large open field area and a woodsy area with lots of trails. ⢠Separate fenced off-leash area for small dogs. ⢠Poop bags dispenser available on-site. ⢠People (and dogs!) are usually here (even at their non-busy hours) so thereās always a dog for your dog to play with no matter what time you come. ⢠Lots of loose seating available, one shed area with fixed benches, picnic tables available, lots of trees! The trails in the woods also have some benches for your introverted self. ⢠Outhouse, water pumps, garbage bins all available on-site. Ample parking! ⢠Thereās a small body of water where your dog can take a plunge for those hot summer days.
Overall lots of opportunities for socializing for both you and your pup. If the socializing doesnāt sound appealing to you (but you would like for your pup), there are lots of nice trails in the woods to be one with your thoughts as your dog follows you (great exercise for...
Ā Ā Ā Read more......Update to follow...... Unfortunately one of the best dog parks in Surrey has been taken over by anti-maskers. They gather in large groups around the benches and have removed the signs that warn us against gatherings and remind us of social distancing. Luckily its a large dog park but their unconcern about others and covid is disturbing. The signs used to be around the benches, next day they are in the bush. Don't get me wrong Dogwood Park is still the Best dog park around. If you have a smaller dog and want it to feel safe, away from other dogs, they have a large infield gated enclosure that they can feel safe to roam, well fenced off from other dogs. This park is great anytime of the year. Just wear boots in soggy areas and watch wear you step. Have a dawg day!...UPDATE, today SPRING 2022...previous rant was made in the before times...one of best parks in Surrey got a bit of renovation, ie, extra gravel for the muddy walking areas...and covid is over right? Lol..still outdoors on weekend at this park, is the best place to with all your friends ā¤ļø people to. So get out there and say ello to us Dawg people and enjoy your day...Cheers...update needs full stars š š¤© Dawg tired after...
Read moreGreat dog park! One of the busiest and most popular in Surrey! If you have a water dog, stay away from the pond. So many dogs develop ear, eye or tummy problems from swimming in the pond! It would be wonderful if the City of Surrey would fence in the pond! So owners could make a conscious choice about whether they want their dog to swim! Also install a flush toilet, as of today only one pit toilet available 𤢠Only two garbage cans near the entrance of the park and both don't have a flap. Those areas are quite smelly, during warmer weather. There's two water taps atm one is awaiting repairs. The other one is beside the pond, so please leash your dog when nearby the pond unless you enjoy a wet, stinky dog! Lol The forested areas are lovely to walk through. Stay away from the perimeter trail during wet days as they're full of large ponds full of mud! This park also has a small dog enclosure, unfortunately without trees or bushes inside. Beware of foxtails during the summer months nearby the entryway and fence. These can spear their way into your dogs paws and...
