Westfield Country Club — Attraction in Surrey

I had my wedding here and it was a management diaster. The only reason we chose this location was because it was where we met. But as it changed hands from Eaglequest to Westfield, no one reached out to us about deposits and payments. It wasnt until 72 days before my wedding I finally called them up and got a hold of someone, only to have them say they had no record of my event. If it werent for the receipt I had about out initial deposit, that was the only paperwork they had. Their management was extremely poor. We finally met with someone only for him to leave the company and have someone else in charge. No surprising that their manager turnover is high.

On the day of our wedding, we were having our photos when a worker runs up to us asking if we requested a cash bar. I feel like this was something management should have known off the bat, and not ask the bride and groom during their photos. I was told by my husband that when they served the cake, one of their workers LITERALLY served cake with their hands. I was sure he aas joking but many of my dear friends corroborrated this story. She took the cake in her hands and plopped it onto saucers. She was immediately taken away into the back and I have no idea what happened to the cake she touched. I hope they didnt pack it into boxes and give it to us. Our cake topper was never returned as well.

An absolute dump! We had a school prom in their event space. We were told that the place would be cleaned and tidied up prior to our event. It was so disappointing, not one thing we asked for was done, we were told nothing but lies. The “Stop Work Order” on the front door was a red flag we should not have ignored! We arrived to set up and there was garbage everywhere, messy landscaping, old balloons hanging in the trees, dirty bathrooms, disgusting floors and windows you could barely see out of. After being told and reassured numerous times that everything would be done. Be warned!! The whole property is a mess. They will tell you all the right things and they are nothing but empty promises. Utterly disgusting facility and horrible business practice. We arrived to set up and spent hours cleaning while the staff wandered around basically doing nothing, just to be told minutes before the event starting that we would, in fact, have to pay more money than the initially agreed upon price. Disappointing experience from start to finish. Save yourself the headache and stay as far away from Westfield Country Club as humanly possible! You think you can save some money here,...

$35 for a round of “golf” and burger and beer. Definitely a good deal but the greens are an absolute mess! Their “greenskeepers” were mowing the course at 3 O’clock in the afternoon, there was cut grass everywhere and there was also fertilizer all over the patchy greens that would stick to your ball as it bounced over divots and ruts toward the cup. Really bad path marking signs or lack there of at times. The course layout gets very convoluted towards the 5th hole. I’m not even going to attempt to explain how incredibly unintuitive this part of the course is and hopefully you never have to find out. The course needs major work and restoration and maintenance and probably just a complete revamp. There should be a disclaimer informing their potential customers about the state of the course but there isn’t any kind of warning. But for $35 you can get a decent burger & beer and round golf on an extremely rough course. Not a bad spot for beginners and or anyone who wants a no pressure, carefree golf experience.
