A really nice hike to check out if you are in the area or just passing through. GPS to the starting parking lot had me wondering as it takes you through a neighborhood but it was correct. Easy enough of a trail although there wasn't one sign really that said "Sussex Bluff" but there were several branch trails that had names. They all go up but stick to the middle route if you want the most direct. I though I was at the top but there is another small section of trail that goes a little further up. Take that and enjoy the view!

This trail never disappoints. We take our kids on the trail, or great if you want to take in a quick hike with adult friends. Gets your blood pumping enough to know you are on a hike but very approachable for anyone. There are a few different braids in the trail, all lead to the top. We like to go up along the exterior trail (stay right) and then stick to the right coming down, it’s a bit quicker for the way out. The views never disappoint, really great in the fall. Often see vultures flying below you or deer in the fields.

Great trails going on the side of the mountain, where you can see the beautiful city from the top. Not a place for bike, but perfect for hiking. There is no indication from the road to get there, but you need to take Sullivan street and after Rockridge street, go straight forward in a service road (dirt road) and you park not to far of the Water building. Trail starts on the side of this Water building.

This is a great place to hike...so we mountain biked. Now don't get me wrong there are some good options for mountain biking, you have to stay on the right trails, and if you are determined to bike it talk to someone who knows it as the maps aren't that helpful. There are also some trails below the bluff that are pretty good.

As far as hiking, you can't beat the view. There are three bluffs with 180 view. The hike is short so you can do it in a few hours. You can go to several viewpoints at different distances.

If I was there and had my bike I might do the bike again, but it is really a hike, and I would do a day trip for that for sure. It's...

Great trail for any experience level including children of any age. We took our 7 year old and came across a few younger. It is 3km in length from the parking to the cliffs. Trail starts on either side of the fencing around the water tank and meets up on the other side. You can then choose a trail that is more flat and easy accessible and more woodsy. Or you can go on the outside that follows the side of the bluffs to the top. Once to the top it is a magnificent view of Sussex and the farmland. Be a perfect place to watch the Sussex Balloon Fest from and watch all the balloons or for the turn of the leaves...

This Trail head begins at the Water Tower at the end of Rockridge drive. Park at the tower and follow the trail to the left of the tower fence. The trail branches off..I stayed to the Right going in the trail and returned the centre trail. It is approx. 4.6 km return to the second Mountain Peak...although the trail still continues to the 3rd mountain peak. Easy trails to follow, well beat down, Very scenic. The View from the Bluffs are SPECTACULAR with an gradual incline and Elevation up to 400 Feet. These trails would be great for Biking, Hiking, walking or Trail Runners. LOVE this...
