BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. We recently got married at the Chateau St-Agnes in August 2023. The place itself is absolutely breathtaking. When the new owners purchased the winery in 2022, we were excited to book our wedding day the following year. Luckily for us, there was only one place left for the following summer. We were ecstatic ! There are two types of packages for weddings, you can either book as inclusive or non inclusive for your wedding day. Non Inclusive package, means that if you book your wedding for example on a Saturday, as we did, you have access to the site as of 5pm that day and must leave and clear everything for the reception hall by 8 am the following day.If however, you book the inclusive package you may access the site as of 8 am on Saturday and there are no outside visitors allowed on site. We decided to opt for the non-inclusive option considering the big price difference and the fact that we celebrated the ceremony at the church at 3pm and would be heading to the cocktail hour around 5pm at the Chateau anyway. In terms of price, make sure to get all your savings out ! It is quiet pricey. We also learned that prices have increased by 5k for next year. Yikes ! If you book the entire site for your wedding, you will pay 20K ! Bear in mind that you are ONLY renting the site for that cost, so nothing else in included. You must rent dishes, napkins, hire a caterer, buy your own alcohol, the list goes on and becomes very costly. Bottom line, the only items that can be used at the chateau are the chairs and tables. We shortly found out that the new owners were only interested in money. I can understand that if you run a business you have bills to pay, however the requests that we made were very minimal and we received ZERO help from the owners. Our wedding planner asked us if it would be possible to have the napkins and dishes delivered on Friday so that this would allow her sufficient time to get set up on Saturday morning. We asked the owners if that were a possibility to have those items dropped off at the Chateau on Friday before the wedding. Their response: You can book the Chateau inclusively on Friday as well if you want to delivery your items on Friday. That would mean incurring another 10K to deliver dishes and napkins on Friday. I mean... I will leave it that but you get the idea. right ?
When we first booked the Chateau during our visit in August 2022 with the owners, we inquired about using the wood fire pit to bake some pizzas as appetizers for our guests during the cocktail hour. They mentioned to us that it would be possible and that it does not get used enough so that it would be a great idea for us to use it ! Excellent - we were excited! Our caterers required that the wood fire pit be started around 4pm so as to allow sufficient time for oven to be hot enough to bake the pizzas for around 5pm. We confirmed with the owners what our caterers told us and they said no problem. Skip to the Friday prior to our wedding, we went on site to bring several items and ran into the owners. We made sure to reconfirm with them that the wood fire pit would be all set for Saturday. Alex, one of the co-owners confirmed to us that all was good. Fast forward to Saturday, 2pm. It rained in the morning, so the wood that was supposed to go in the fire pit was wet. Alex, told our wedding planner that it would not be used and he doesn't not know how to start the fire pit. We were shocked. Here we are at 2 pm right before our wedding ceremony at 3pm, having to run to the village to buy dry wood and race back to the Chateau. Our caterers explicitly told us that the fire pit had to be all set up for their arrival. How disappointing to have to deal with this on your own wedding day. WARNING all future brides and grooms, get ready to do all of the work yourself for your wedding (even with the help of a wedding planner) and not be helped by any way by the owners as explained in our examples above. It is unfortunate that the client service is not up to part to the beauty...
Read moreThis was a birthday gift from my partner and a first time here. While there were a lot of good aspects to it, I think there's a few key areas where it falls short.
SERVICE: There was a single person working the reception area and a line up of people waiting to be addressed. The server seemed to have no sense of urgency while a growing line of people formed to be assisted. We waited about 10 minutes just to ask a single question about the tasting and charcuterie experience. Not sure why there was such little staffing available to assist but the first impression so far wasn't the best.
The tour was nice and interactive and the owner did a great job of showcasing the main parts of the wine making process. Though, the cellars looked like they only held a few hundred bottles in total and felt less like a traditional cellar and seemed to have bottles only decoratively placed around the area with many rooms in the cellar barren.
WINE TASTING & FOOD:
Once we received our wines, charcuterie and blanket we found a little spot but were consistently interrupted by staff driving past to set up spaces around the grounds which was irritating to keep moving around without being able to enjoy our food or drinks. The wines were good and a nice variety and holders available as part of the basket. The food , however, was a sad medley of cheese, meats, berries and nuts packaged in a small container. There was enough food that could placed entirely in a single palm of your hand and limited variety.
GROUNDS:
The space is beautifully arranged with a rich history albeit somewhat small for a vineyard with stunning architecture and building but nearly all of them are locked down or unavailable unless you've paid for a tour or reserved an event space. There were several instances mid tour where curious people were stopped from entering or participating as they hadn't paid for a tour. Overall, a decent space but without a tour, a very short-lived experience. Important to note, there were no air conditioned or indoor leisure spaces to enjoy your drink as all indoor spaces were dedicated for paid tours or private events. While the weather was good that day, it's important to note this as I wouldn't know where you could find shelter if it rained.
SUMMARY:
Overall, I'm very grateful to my partner that she got such a creative birthday gift but after a few hours we both agreed this wasn't an ideal experience and given the sheer numbers of alternatives there are in the neighbouring area, we will not be coming back. Good to try but a somewhat constrained and limited experience unless you buy the...

My time at Château Ste. Agnès Vineyard was nothing short of unforgettable. I’ve experienced this place both through their catering & hospitality team and as a guest staying overnight — and honestly, both sides of the experience were top-tier 👌.
🍷 Catering & Hospitality
At one wedding I attended here, the Brera team handled everything with absolute class. Even though the service team was smaller than usual, they never missed a beat 💯. The hospitality was warm, efficient, and incredibly professional — the kind of service that makes you feel like everything is running effortlessly in the background.
The bar setup was impressive 🍸, the food came out beautifully prepared 🍽️, and every guest left raving. A special mention goes to Layla, whose attentive service stood out — and her recommendation for the Blue Gin Tonic 💙🍸 was spot-on and quickly became a favorite.
🌿 Overnight Stay & Vineyard Tour
On another visit, we stayed overnight in one of the suites 🛏️✨, and it felt like stepping into a private retreat. After the vineyard closed, we had the magical opportunity to wander freely among the vines 🌙🍇 — peaceful, romantic, and incredibly bucolic. It truly felt like having the entire estate to ourselves.
We also booked the tour and picnic package 🧺🥖🧀. Diane, our tour guide, was fantastic — thorough, informative, and clearly passionate about sharing the vineyard’s story 🍷📖. She went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. The picnic itself was generous and absolutely delicious 😋 — the kind of spread that makes you slow down and savor every bite with a view of the rolling hills.
❤️ Final Word
Between the flawless hospitality & catering service and the unique overnight vineyard experience, Château Ste. Agnès delivers on every level. It’s elegant, romantic, and unforgettable — whether you’re here for a wedding, a wine tour, or just a peaceful escape.
If you’re looking for a place that combines world-class service, amazing food, and a dreamy vineyard setting 🍷🌿✨, Château Ste....
