The very name of the rock is alarming. But the view from the top of the cliff is just amazing. There are two trails to the top. The first one is more complex and long, from the side of the lake. The second one starts at the road, short and easy. You can make a circle. Very slippery in the morning due to fog and high humidity. Therefore, appropriate footwear is important. In general, the duration of the ascent and descent is about 1.5 hours, but it depends on how often you stop to take pictures. The entry from the road and the distance to the top are shorter and easier.

Fantastic hiking trail, off the beaten path, not much signage in the area, it is more of a hike at your own risk trail. Went early fall, the leaves were falling, blanketing the ground, it had rained and it was muddy and slippery. I had 3 near fall incidents, my boyfriend wasn’t so lucky. He slipped on a flat boulder, taking a massive fall. The 2 km trek back to the car was horrible for him. Luckily, he only bruised his thigh, not breaking, not even the phone he fell on.

The 1 KL trail is an easy walk whereas the 2 km trail is pretty awesome but rugged. Once you reach the top the view is fantastic. A fence was put up at some point at a couple of sections of the Cliff, I'm assuming it had to do with the dedication to a young man that fell off, but it's been ripped out which I was happy to see. Fencing & bubble wrapping nature versus the use of common sense. Common sense is the winner.

It was a challenging hike because it is very rocky and slippery. But, it is worth it and it wasn’t bad for first timers to hike. There is a Trail A and Trail B in which you can choose in order to get to the top. The view is spectacular! I love the fall colours which made the trip memorable. Highly recommended to everyone who wants to explore the area.

We went there by the time of sunset and the view of the frozen lake was breathtaking. We walked on the frozen lake and had fun. Hiked to the devils rock lookout at dark and the view was spectacular.

Very nice view at the peak. However, the Hike up was like hell. My elderly father and I went on the 5km trail and came across multiple obstacles for any age. The walk up was muddy and the path only had enough room for one person. We came across a muddy patch for a couple of minutes ( not a big deal ) but when my father slipped I couldn’t help him up the hill because there wasn’t enough room on the trail. Then near the top was a wasps nest directly above the trail. My father got stung once on the elbow and the wasps were trying to sting his balding head well we tried to get to the top. At the top it was very crowded but the view was amazing. bad experience for me but i’m sure if you went another time it might be better.
