This place goes by its name - “Pretty River”. In a world full of sunflowers and Tulips, be a Trillium (yep you can see a forest full of them here) and such breathtaking vistas. There’s no defined parking space but it’s simple to park right outside the park on the shoulder. As you enter the park, you would instantly know it’s the most dense forest Trek you’ve ever been to. And it starts with bare trees with branches poking out but as you move up in the trail, Jeez it’s miraculous beautiful. Straight out of a painting. A brook of pretty river accompanying you as you elevate in altitude of the trek, the forest laid with beautiful flowers and birds singing along the way as you go. We didn’t go up to the valley point but did almost 7-8kms around the river, marsh and a small lake. The route we took gave us an elevation of almost 500meters and is a moderate intensity trek so a good cardio workout basking in nature’s lap. #SimcoeCounty #PrettyRiver #Hike #Trek #Trail...

Long vista views can be found in different parts along the cliffs, however the most open and longest views are found on the eastern edge of the park where the escarpment overlooks Georgian Bay and...

What a beautiful spot to hike, 20 minute drive from Blue Mountain. It’s a little hard to find from the road, but once you discover the trail that runs along the stream, you’re transported into a beautiful spot, filled with trees and the sounds of running water. Keep walking as far as you can. Each turn is more beautiful than the last.
When we were there it was icy, but with crampons, no problem. Without proper footwear, you won’t get far in the ice.
There’s a parking lot about a 5 minute walk from the “entrance”. Or park in the side of the road with the other cars.
