As a seasoned wedding photographer, I have had the pleasure of capturing a few weddings at The Cochrane Ranchehouse. This venue has become a personal favourite for many reasons, making it a standout choice for couples seeking a perfect venue for their wedding day. There is breathtaking scenery, with the rocky mountains in the distance. This provides a dreamy backdrop for wedding ceremonies!! The staff are truly exceptional. From the initial inquiry to the day of the event, the team exudes professionalism and a genuine commitment to ensuring each wedding is seamless. It's the perfect venue if you don't want to have to go far for amazing photo locations. I wholeheartedly recommend this venue to any soon-to-be-wedded couple.. but if you do want to have the best wedding day at The Cochrane RancheHouse you should also hire me too!!!!

We got married here on June 18 of this year. And it was absolutely perfect. The venue had everything done right! However I would recommend not locking us out of the building before we’re done LOL but it all worked out in the end! The price was fair for what we got. Couldn’t of asked for a better price actually! We will upload a few more photos of the wedding once we have them for my photographer. To show you guys how beautiful the scenery is! I would also love to mention that they were Phenomenal about accommodating the situation with this Covid nightmare going on. Funny enough we actually use the caterers even though we couldn’t host it here.

Visited May 15, 2021. Great place to bring the family or anyone to go for a leisurely not too difficult hike. I even think that if you had someone in a wheelchair their would be plenty of pathways they would be able to get onto without issue. Very nice views, lots of historical information and lots of parking. At the time of our visit the public bathrooms were closed. It wasn't an issue for my husband and I but I felt bad for the seniors and families needing to use the facilities with their children. Covid or not bathroom facilities need to be open as it is a human right in my opinion so in that respect I was not impressed.

I was with an event that hosted our own production here and it was a really great experience. The overall staff is extremely friendly and as long as we explain the situation to them you were always allowed in the building for our event to set up early. If we explain that we were cleaning crew even if the doors were closed, they would always be someone coming down to help us out. I think the only thing is that sometimes there is a bit of conflict between where are different events are or if we are cleaning up from the event sometimes the staff will want us out of the building even if it’s open for a few more hours. Even if we have the building for our event for a few more hours they will try and deliberately kick us out even if we’re trying to clean up. But other than that this is a really great place to host events and weddings and everything in between. The aesthetic is really nice and employees are super friendly even if sometimes they wanna go home a bit early on late...

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at this venue. It is a great location and I would highly recommend it. There is a beautiful outdoor ceremony spot overlooking the hills in Cochrane with the Rocky Mountains in the distance although they also provide a great backup indoor location (Hall of Vision) with a large fireplace/hearth. We had our reception in the Chinook Hall which is a large room with wood beams and lots of natural light. Jane (events coordinator) was super easy to work with, quick to respond and accommodating of our requests. The other staff was very helpful all day during setup and takedown. You must select one of their approved caterers although we ended up going with Gourmet to Go cater our event and our guests loved them. Definitely not a negative. Although neither me or my fiancé are from Cochrane, our guests appreciated the short commute...
