Great undeveloped areas for the exploring .Paddlers can launch from the small park at Arner Rd near the bridge , or from Cedar Beach .I take my small aluminum boat up the creek past the Greenway Trail bridge and use a chainsaw and axe to clear fallen trees and branches from blocking access to the picturesque upstream sections .There are beavers active near this bridge , where an observer can see large trees with chewed out areas on the creek side of the trees , and I have seen beavers in the water here . About halfway between Arner and Cedar Beach , on the north side of Cedar Creek , on a slight bulge of land known as "Prospect Point " ,there's a special treat for a patient observer .Paddling east from Arner ,where the creek makes a 25 degree bend to southeast ,there are 4 ancient native Indian fire pit depressions that have been identified as authentic and have been surveyed by archaeologists .They're laid out in large arc , which roughly follows the shoreline contour .You'll know you found the right place if there is a small clearing with a wrecked wooden outhouse .The shallow earthen pits are about 60 yds east of the clearing ....

Great spot to launch the Kayaks for an afternoon on the Creek. My wife and I spent 5 hours out there and came back burnt to a crisp from the sun but it was well worth it. We paddled all the way to the inlet from the lake and the views and water was amazing.

This conservation area has hiking trails and a picnic area but it is not really for these activities. Cedar Creek Conservation Area really shines as a water sports spot. The dock is a standard dock, just a flat platform out on the water, so make sure you stretch before getting onto your craft, but the current is calm and the wildlife along the shore is beautiful.

Generally the spot is not too busy and you can usually get your stuff loaded without much company, however on the really beautiful days you might run into a full...

Ok so here’s my take on Canadian Tire! Not my favourite store , always packed isles, unfriendly staff especially at Customer Service Counter so I go for the deals which are the paper products Frank brand paper towels Kleenex and toilet paper ! I needed an electric bbq grill as only allowed on my balcony ! I checked on line and the Chatham Store has the exact one I wanted ! I printed my bbq and went to Canadian Tire and they actually had it in stock as it was quick and easy and very pleasant at Customer Service Counter! I simply walked to the desk asked to ck it was in store and it was delivered to my car and I ended up with a super BBQ good price and great service ! I wish they were all run like...

Pretty places to walk. The Provincial Park is off the 3rd Concession. Be aware that the road in can be muddy and rutted. There is no real parking. Despite this, it is a nice place to walk with my dogs. The Conservation Area off the Arner has a nice parking lot. The trails are overgrown and tough to follow. Lots of mud in the fall. Unfortunately, the kayak launch has been removed and boarded up. There is no signage to indicate if you have wandered onto private property.

Cedar Creek Conservation Area is a beautiful place to visit. I had the best kayak trip going upstream and thoroughly enjoyed it all. There's nature trails to walk, a large grassy area for picnics and a nice bench to sit upon. A big thank you to ERCA for keeping the grass trimmed and garbage bin emptied. And for everything else you do. It is appreciated and these places wouldn't exist without your efforts. Many thanks and God bless.

As an experienced hiker I can say it was was rather interesting how little it was tamed in certain areas with trails being rather natural. If you like natural trails, this is one of the few places in the area you can do that. If you want to actually know where the trail is then this is not for you. I'm telling you, the trails are virtually non existent.
