Souris Historic Lighthouse — Attraction in Town of Souris

Built in 1880, Souris East Lighthouse is a wood-constructed tower on Knight Point overlooking the town of Souris. Visitors can climb to the lantern room, walk out to the balcony, and discover the panoramic seascape views of the harbour and town of Souris. Out of all of the lighthouses that we have seen on P.E.I. this one rates a bit on the low side. The lighthouse is dire need of a paint job and some maintenance. If you are looking for a lighthouse photo op this might not be your best choice to consider.

Still we enjoyed the visit to this place. The gift shop is amazing, and their prices on items made by local artists are very reasonable.

Nice Unique Lighthouse Architecture We happen to make a small detour during our road trip to PEI in Jul 2023. And while sightseeing the east point we noticed this lighthouse middle of nowhere but with a spectacular view of the ocean.
