We had our wedding here last month & although it was a great day, the venue could have made it go a lot smoother. We found out at the rehearsal 2 days before the wedding, that our day-of-coordinator, Olivia, who we had been talking to for a year, was on mat leave and we had a new coordinator, Ally. This is totally understandable, but a lot of the things we had spoken to Olivia about were not passed on to Ally, so some things were missed, or not done.Ally did try to do her best with the information she had, but we do wish things had been more organized. When I showed up at 8am to start setting up the tables & decor, (the time I was saying all year that I'd be there), the tables werent even moved into the reception area & were soaking wet.We were the only wedding that weekend, so we do feel it would have been easier to have the tables put into place the day before, rather than left sitting out in the rain overnight.I had to wait over an hour for them to be moved & dried so we could set them up.By then, I was 1.5 hours behind schedule and my hair stylist had shown up.I didnt get to hang out with my bridesmaids at all before I had to get my hair done.During set-up, a man we didn't know drove up and parked beside the bridal suite and started changing his clothes. He was there for 30-45 mins. This made me so uncomfortable that anyone could come up to the bridal suite at anytime, especially since its stated on our contract that the venue provides security to deter public visitors from my event.I didnt see security at all that day.During my private vows, a different car was parked in the same spot. This car was there for about 30 mins, & when I was standing by the barn, waiting for my fiance, they drove back down the road very slowly, staring at me the entire time. They need to block that entrance off so this doesnt happen.I did bring this up to Ally &all I really got was "that's really weird".We werent able to lock the suite, so anyone could have gone in and taken stuff when we weren't in there.Ally said that there was another entrance she could show us for the suite, & she would lock the front door, but then that never got done.We asked for coffee & tea to come out at the end of the night & paid for it.The next day, we realized it had never come out.Thankfully, they did reimburse us for that, but people were looking for coffee & tea, and it sucks that they didn't get that.A few other things that we had asked Olivia for werent done as well.We also found out that we only got the bridal suite until 10pm, which is not in the contract anywhere. We were not informed of this until the 30 day apt, where we were also informed of other more important things that needed to be done, & so it was forgotten. This should be communicated the day you book or put in the contract.Just before 10, I was finally able to start to enjoy the night, with all the wedding duties done, & one of the staff came up to me and told me to clean the bridal suite.I was pretty upset that now I had to get everyone to grab their stuff from the suite & bring bags across the venue to our cars. Our guests saw us with bags & assumed it was time to go, so people stopped dancing & started to leave. It really ruined the vibe and ended our night much earlier than we would have liked. We both still dont understand why the bridal suite needs to be cleared out 2 hours before the rest of the venue. We did recognize that the venue staff helped with putting some of our reception items in one spot at the end of the night so it was easy to pack up.We do appreciate that Ally and her team were willing to work with us whenever we brought up an issue, and some of these issues were very minor, but we do feel that too many of them were easily avoidable and/or due to mismanagement and miscommunication. All in all, we did have a great wedding and the venue did play a part in making that happen.Unfortunately we wouldnt recommend it to someone else, without telling our story. Our guests did have a great time, and the venue is beautiful, but this is just our experience as a bride and groom.

Attended a semi-formal wedding in a "farm like" atmoshere here in September. Expensive venue that charges for each item, including the use of outdoor games or curtains for the barn. Forecast was for rain showers, so I brought a small umbrella, but 50% of guests didn't, who got drenched. The eating area had an open air tent as well as the bar/dance floor. Ceremony benches were drenched. We stood on the wet grass. There are 2 single stall washrooms and 2 gross outhouses. Only 1 washroom worked, so lineups were all night. (Maybe a discount should be offered). Water flowed under our tables from the rain, all night so couldn't put purses etc on the ground. The food was great. Bar tender was great. Music was great. Through the mud and rain it was still a party and we enjoyed ourselves.

Estate 248 was an absolute dream venue for us. We wanted a beautiful backyard garden vibe and this venue hit the mark so spectacularly. From the bridal suite and rustic barns, to the gorgeous big tree and raining flower petals, it felt like a place straight out of a storybook. Olivia was so amazing to work with - she walked us through everything and was so great helping us with layout, timeline and answering any questions we had at any time. The venue rental options were a huge plus for us, too! We were able to rent lawn games like giant Jenga and Cornhole, which were a huge hit with the families during cocktail hour, and a great alternative for people who didn’t want to dance. Thank you so much to Olivia and crew who helped make the wedding day of our dreams become a reality!

This venue was a dream for our wedding. Ally and Olivia were both incredible to work with, answering all questions and taking the time to make sure our vision was brought to reality. The venue itself was extremely affordable (in comparison to many others) and did not charge any fees like corking wine bottles or plating desserts. They offered a lot of add-on decor options, but were very flexible with letting us bring our own decor. The bridal suite for getting ready was absolutely adorable. Outdoor and indoor ceremony options for all weather eased some of the unknowns about what we would do if it rained (thankfully it didn't!). Wish we could've danced a little longer as cleanup started around 11pm, but overall hubby and I couldn't be happier with how the day went. Recommend for the value and overall help/friendliness...

Estate 248 is a GREAT option to consider if you are searching for a wedding venue. This is not your typical ‘golf course’ wedding venue.

We got married in September 2023 and Olivia, the wedding coordinator, made the wedding planning process easier than it could have been. On our wedding day she ensured the timeline was flowing and rarely had to approach me (the bride) with any concerns. I assume she dealt with any issues herself and/or spoke with the others in our wedding party and parents. This detail really helped me truly enjoy and take in our special day together.

The bridal suite on the grounds made it seamless when getting ready in the morning as well!

Since our wedding, we have received nothing but glowing comments from our guests who attended specifically how beautiful and unique...
