Sperm Whale Pavilion — Attraction in Triton

Wow! This place is awesome. The museum is well worth a stop, the highlight being the wonderful host, Terry. He is a real gem and has plenty of ‘whale tales’ and interesting information for anyone who’s willing to hang out for a bit. Entertaining and full of fun, Terry brings to mind your favorite school teacher from way back! Listen carefully, he might give you a pop quiz! 😄

Just another wonderful example of Newfoundland friendliness and hospitality. Triton is a cute little town and nearby Long Island completely worth a trip on the short ferry. We stopped in early one day to see the views next to the centre before it opened. A few minutes later, one of the staff, Terry, just happened to be coming by and pulled over to say hi. He took us in, showed us around and we had a great chat for almost an hour, of his own time too! A Newfoundlander myself, I know we're known for being talkers and friendly, but Terry is quite the ambassador for this province! He entertained, taught and really did well for the community! While in the area and looking for stuff to check out on a rainy day we found this spot. We didn’t expect a whole lot but we were completely wrong. Upon arriving at the location we were greeter by Terry the exhibit educator. What an absolute fantastic person to chat with. Highly knowledgeable and very engaging.
