Me & my boyfriend drove from Calgary, AB to Tumbler Ridge, BC to join the Cabin Pool Tour and the Wolverine River Lantern Tour. We booked both of the tours in advance and on a Thursday, since we only arrived in town on a Monday and the museum is closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. During our stay in Tumbler Ridge, we understood that the situation was kind of tricky as it was shortly after the pandemic and during the BC wildfires in August 2021. Nonetheless, we received a call on Thursday morning, an hour before our scheduled Cabin Pool Tour, that the museum had to cancel the tour due to the nature of the trail that is "strenuous" and due to the smoke. We hiked the Cabin Pool trail ourselves after and found the trail to be doable to hike. The Wolverine River Lantern Tour was also canceled due to the weather. We were pretty disappointed on the poor management of these tours. We just hope there will be a better crisis management system that will be put into place to mitigate canceling the tours altogether from people that come from...

The museum offers plenty of information about the area and its discoveries. Although it’s on the smaller side, it’s impressively curated for a small, isolated town. I think I had higher expectations after hearing so many great things about it. As someone who loves museums and has visited many, this was the smallest I’ve been to, so I was a bit surprised by its size with all the chatter I have heard about it. That said, we still enjoyed our visit and appreciated the opportunity to support the community while exploring the fascinating artifacts and information they’ve...

Well my experience is a little different from other people's At one time my father and I ran a renovating company in Tumbler Ridge and had the privilege of converting the school into the research center. We did all the woodwork and the Theater. I was the one that came up with the light weight mud flat solution( your welcome Tyler PS you rocked it ) So sad to hear about the financial crisis threatening the continuing of the facility Lisa Buckley and Dr. Helm gave a great interview on Cbc I just heard and felt I had to...

Very small museum but lovely people staffing it. As an aside, I was on a trail with my puppy and granddaughter later on down to the dinosaur tracks and it is slightly technical and slippery for me with my prosthetic leg at times. The young man with long hair that was sitting in the museum was guiding a man and helped hold my pup on a steep section for me without hesitation! That is 5 star. He did not need to help me yet did not hesitate. His kindness and willingness to help made my day. So, thank you if you see this!!!

Interesting displays in the museum and good information. They have videos to watch in a small display room, but they were extremely dated and could use a re-vamp with current information about Tumbler Ridge, as lots of the information is no longer relevant. The staff were polite but didn't seem eager to make this experience very captivating or intriguing, very dead energy, which is ironic for a dinosaur museum! I'm still glad to learn a few things about the areas history.

Tumbler Ridge, BC, for such a beautiful small town. ...has so much to offer to visitors . The Murray River boat excursions to the Kinuseo Falls is worth the trip alone. Amazing mountain walks; winter activities of amazing quality; cross country, downhill, all there. Immaculately kept footpaths and town centre . Such a memorable and tranquil holiday destination.
