I love this trail, however I have run into a bear every single time I've gone in the summer months. Never a negative encounter but have your wits about you. Snowshoeing in the winter is fantastic on this trail! Great for beginners. Can be a little damp after heavy rains or melt, but nothing waterproof hiking shoes...
