I am in paint lake right now been 5 days and love it. Beautiful place and worth the drive, the Marina restaurant has amazing fries!! The campground as very clean showers and bathrooms, it is very quiet. Lots of beaches (including a dog beach) and places for kids to play in, sites are very private which I like. The lakes around here are beautiful to fish and kayak (went to Mid Lake, Paint Lake and Ospwagon Lake). You are 30 min fm Thompson and 40ish min fm Pisew Falls. Right now there is a water advisory but you just need to boil it) which is the only downside so far (which no big deal at all). I went check to Lakeview (5 to 10 min fm Paint Lake campground same park) it has no electricity but you are right on the water if that is what you are looking for.

Beautiful place, but when we were there (July 2020) the mosquitoes were atrocious, the beach and harbour were flooded and the clean water wasn't working (because of the flooding). They jumped on it and provided a water trailer in good time. All these problems weren't the fault of anyone, so that's why I give it a 4, but be prepped for bugs, and more bugs that just don't quit, even with repellent. We were literally breathing them in when trying to bike in the rain. We were in a yurt which was a lot of fun. There's little underbrush, so you can see through the trees to your neighbours, but there's enough space between that's it's not like your looking in their window. Absolutely beautiful lake with many bays and islands to explore!

Worth the trip! This Campground is awesome. The views are spectacular (especially during the sunset), the park itself is very nice surrounded by lakes. Just be careful of LEECH. It also has a lot activities like playgrounds and a basketball court. We stayed in Yurts and they were clean, it's just that some windows are not working. Bathrooms are clean and well maintained. Just note that the Bathrooms within the park doesn't have a running water, you need to go to a spot in the middle of the Campground if you want a modern bathroom and a shower. Which is a little bit far from where the Yurts are. You need coins for the shower to work ($1 for a 3 minute shower).

Came for 5 day glamping trip. Sites varied in sizes, ours had a very slanted hill going down through bush and eventually water. Had a nice clearing for the kids to play catch, Frisbee, etc. All our neighbours were very respectful of the park rules and were all quiet, so I almost felt bad for when my kids made noise. Beaches were nice, lots of spaces to setup, and structures for kids to play on. Park had (coin-op) modern showers. Trailer sanitizing station was easy to get to. Marina had an excellent restaurant which we ate at the first day, kids didn't like the pizza, but all other meals were delicious. I was disappointed that the posted hours for the restaurant and store were inaccurate - they were posted on a board as you drive into the park, but not the hours posted at the...
