Agawa River Falls — Attraction in Unorganized North Algoma

Day hikers: I highly recommended to leave your bag on the ground before the very steep descent. This will speed up your last 2 hours greatly. I started at 10:40am - 6:25pm. With about 1 hour of stopping. Beautiful trail, river, and falls, but I would not day trip it again unless there’s over 12 hours of daylight. It’s late October and sunset was at 6:20 leavening me with only 10 min at the falls.

Im from Michigan, this place is absolutely gorgeous! Lots of climbing and terrain to get up there.

The sign recommended 12-16 hours however we completed it in 6 there and back with a 40 minute lunch break in between. Trails are pretty well marked just some spots take some looking for...

Don't try to drive here. We attempted it in our 4x4 truck. We found ourselves using 4wd low and on roads no longer meant to be driven. If you try, and make it to the old house, good job! But that's a good place...
