Fantastic hike in Lake Superior Provincial Park recommended by a park ranger. It’s a leisurely 3 hour hike if you check out all the lookouts. There’s a side trail (marked by a lookout post) into the Baldhead River that is an awesome spot to relax and listen to fast flowing water.

Bring a bathing suit if you want to swim on the wonderful pebble beach right on Lake Superior. Keep your eyes peeled for the sign to get back on the trail from the beach - it’s very inconspicuous. Some parts of the woods aren’t marked very well, especially if you’re doing them loop counter-clockwise so...

Con: This felt like the longest 8km hike i have ever had, so many ups and downs, going over rocks and roots, definitely not easy. Bring your poles, your knees will thank you. And wear sturdy footwear with good ankle support, downward slope with loose rocks is an ankle twister.

Pro: It passes through the most variety of lanscape in the park, maple, birch, pine forest, lake, river, coastline, waterfall. Amazing lookouts. I would say this is a must do in the park. It takes about 4 hours to complete in a...

Very cool experience in the winter. Made the hike on New Year's Eve with no trouble from snow as the way was travelled recently a minimal amount to pack the snow. The view of the lake was great and the trail led to the surface where we walked briefly. As of Dec. 31 the lake was entirely covered with snow and we checked the ice about 50 ft. from shore where it was...
