Mackenzie Glen District Park — Attraction in Vaughan

This is a very nice park. My kids love it, it is big.

It has a lot of green areas to run in the grass or play soccer. It also has a playground for toddlers and big kids, plus in summer there is also available a splash pad for the kids to play with the water.

You can also go for a 15 minutes walk around the park and see some ducks and geese in the little lake... It is also nice for little kids to learn to use a bicycle.

I recommend it for people of all ages. Very nice to walk around with dogs too or if u just want to take some fresh air.

Also nice for couples who are dating and wanna take a walk, there is some chairs in front of the little lake to seat.

On warm season there is also washroom available during the day.

On July there is also a hispanic festival for spanish people, they offer nice food and music, this event is good for all ages...

However I like the playground and the splash pad in this park but I found a few issues that could be addressed. First is that the number of seating benches is very minimal in this park and in summer days gets so hot so you can barely stay there since there are only one area(if I am not mistaken) which is not too close to the park that has some sort of shades. The other thing is that there is no sign that people can not bring their pets into the splash pad area. I have mentioned that to a couple people that their dog was in the middle of splash pad with kids that it is not allowed and they told me show us the sign! where is the sign for that. If you are a mom you know for sure that no matter how much you love your pet but they are not supposed to be in a public splash pad area with...

July 13th was Vaghan's Latin Festival held at Mackenzie Glen. It was a perfect day with beautiful latin music, lots of dancing and different vendors were on site bringing the taste of latin america to Vaughn. I got there late, therefore i cannot comment on day long activities but for the little our an hour i was there, i had a fascinating time..The band was very upbeat and skilled and they had everyone on their feet and dancing.
