Mission Hill Dog Park — Attraction in Vernon

I love this park! It's beautiful with healthy trees and grass and has just enough shade and wind blowing through to keep you cool. With take a jug and leave a jug for dogs to get a drink Only downside is it's a climb for me to get to on the bottom and not enough garbage cans! Although if you go, a couple warnings This park isn't an inclosed space accept for where the school is fenced off. (although kids leave the door open a lot.) This dog park is beautifully maintained by the city of Vernon for a wonderful manicured green lawn that is pleasant to play and run on with your pooch; so much better than any dog parks I've visited in Kelowna which are not irrigated, seeded or maintained but rather an ugly mix of gravel, mud and weeds - or worse - a foot layer of wood chips akin to walking through a litter box. I really like this dog park. Shady, rolling hills, 99% fenced, beautiful view, picnic table and a couple benches, fenced in playground.. Someone replaces the dog water regularly.
