Beautiful spot to go and explore! Just make sure you’re being safe near the water, lots of green algae on the rocks. Edit: Just visited the dam again today and was shocked to see it gated up with a lock!! Very unwelcoming, we weren’t even sure if we could go in until another couple walked around the gates! Some sort of signage to let people know if they’re welcomed or not would be helpful. We drove from Summerside to visit and were very disappointed by this. Glad someone else came while we sitting in the parking lot, because we were about to turn around.

Knox's Dam doesn't really have an address for it. The entrance is hidden. The entrance is beside a red house. It's a dirt road that goes through some trees. The dam is small. The river is on the left and the dam is spread out. The river continues to flow to the right, down a fall that seems to be man made. There's a pathway that lets you take a boat, small boat, canoe or kayak onto the river. You can go fishing there too it seems. We saw a guy on a small motorized boat in the river. You can take some pretty nice photos of the river here with the dam.

A beautiful quiet place to stop and have a picnic or enjoy the scenery. There is a plaque where you can read about the historical significance of the dam. If you’re needed to cool off, it’s a good place to have a nice dip. The locals like to fish here as well.

One of the beautiful and must visit place during your stay in PEI. It’s so beautiful to hear the sound of water flowing through the dam and also through the stream on the side . So peaceful and feels like a sleep music played on YouTube. Definitely a...
