It has been a preferred beach destination for me ever since my child was a toddler. The beach features shallow waters, white sand, and stunning vistas. During the summer months, I often bring her here. However, over the past 16 years, I have observed a decline in visitor numbers to this beach. It used to be a bustling location during the summer, filled with children playing and swimming. This area serves as a protected nesting ground for piping plover birds. When traversing the area, it is crucial to show respect for their habitats, as numerous chicks are flying around and feeding on the ground. Overall, it is a beautiful spot to spend a day swimming or picnicking.

Beautiful beach, little bit of a walk in through the woods to get to it and fairly rocky right before the sand. Lots of sand and the way the water sparkles is just beautiful. Fairly warm water and not too windy compared to some of the others around. Has change rooms, outhouses, water taps to rinse off, and picnic tables too. Fair warning it is not the most accessible!

In a province full of beaches, and parks, this is one of the best. Off the beaten path along the Lighthouse route, you wouldn’t know it was here unless you know where to look. A beautiful view and great beach at low tide, able to walk a good 100 feet out into the bay, really wish I could have stayed there all day

This is a beautiful beach and park, albeit a bit of a long walk to access the beach. It would be difficult for seniors. But truly georgous and lovely warm water. However, my group were very disappointed when we encountered the bathrooms! Unbelievably DIRTY! I would certainly not take a child in them! To be honest, they do not appear to have been cleaned in months- seriously. There were some tourists there and they too were shocked. I felt ashamed as a Nova Scotian that our government could not see that this well appointed , beauty of a park, was unable to offer better basic services to the public. The park is well maintained otherwise but the sanitation of the bathrooms should be addressed immediately AND on a regular basis! I'm sorry to have to write such a scathing review but it needs...

This is a lovely beach. It has a large parking lot, a change house with outdoor shower and shorter spigot and outhouses. It is a short walk through a field and picnic area for those who don't like sand in their food. The water is great for young kids as the water is on the shallow side and you have to walk out a fair distance to get to deeper water. The jellyfish closer to the shore tend to be dead, but those out further in the water may still be alive and stinging, so keep your eyes out. The beach has horse flies, which is annoying. The sand is rocky and it is also home to bloodsucking sandworms, so I would not recommend making...
