Beautiful winery with a large and bright tasting room that is adjacent to their restaurant. Came on a Monday during grad week, so it was very busy for the restaurant side, but the tasting side was quiet. The lovely young lady pouring for us knew most of the tasty notes, so was able to keep the conversation going. The wines were all bright and acidic (non-reds tasted) with a fun red phone booth in the vineyard that was actually from the UK. Not my fav in the region as I found the ones I tried lacked depth. Will try the premiums next time. I did buy the cans and boy were they fun. The bubbly rose was an easy crowd pleaser. The wine spritzers were well balanced and so easy to drink on a hot summer day or in your backpack to enjoy after a hike as they are in the 250 mL can format. Lunch: Very tasty sandwiches that gave satisfying bites. A small incident with the chowder, but the server was quick to fix. It was a very busy day so food took a bit and with only 3 servers, patience was needed. Luckily at the end, they pulled staff from the tasting room to support the servers as they were running. Overall a tasty lunch with great view into the vineyard as the room was bright with high ceilings.

It's a sad state of affairs when your Server doesn't check in on you after the food runner has dropped off your main; worse still, my beer remained empty from the point of food delivery until my lunch was virtually all finished (see photo) and (still) with nobody bothering to take care of us. That is simply unacceptable. Eventually, my wife got up to go up to the bar to put our drinks order in and then we watched our Server hand deliver, one by one, 3 separate rounds of drinks to tables... one by one. Use a tray. It's what the professionals do. And Pete, if they can't, don't hire them. Further, if anyone thinks you get a pass because "we're in the Valley, it's different here...", well no it isn't, if you set out to *try* to run a top tier establishment, hire & train the staff to support you in that endeavor or Reviews like this will pop up. PS: we had asked the Food Runner to ask our Server to bring us the Black Pepper grinder after the food came (and another round of drinks). That too never happened. We asked the Server, after we finally got her attention, if indeed our request had been followed through with, and of course, we all know the answer to that question... She said "no". We say no too.

Luckett’s Vineyard is perched on a hill facing Blomidon and the beginning of the Gaspereau valley in NS. This view is spectacular and changes by time of day and weather of course. Sometimes you can see the details in the far off hill emerging from the Bay of Fundy and sometimes you will witness the fog rolling over or around it but always framed by the vineyard in the foreground. Pete Luckett started out selling fruit in the Saint John Market many years ago after coming to Canada. He eventually started a series of his own stores incorporating fruit and specialty goods from England. Later transitioning into the wine making business. There are a number of wines available including Tidal Bay which is a locally grown grape variety, the Phone Box, and my favourite one here, Old Bill, a smooth full bodied red. Lunch or supper Is a beautiful way to enjoy the view. The meals are delicious. Some of the ones we enjoyed on our visit were LV charcuterie board, Digby scallops-Ricotta Gnudi, Beef loin, Halloumi Summer Fritter & Triumphe burger.

We had high expectations for Luckett Vineyards as we heard about this place from different sources and they all have enjoyed it. The wine tasting and the ambiance were both excellent. For an affordable price of just $12, we were able to try out different wines straight from the winery! I really enjoyed their selection of white wine, especially the Riesling. However, the bistro was extremely disappointing. Wait time was slightly longer than expected, especially when we went after lunch rush hours, around 2 pm. The appetizer (breadboard and salad) were both decent. The biggest issue we had were the entrees and the fries. Seafood chowder was mediocre at best, as we could taste the fishiness. The brisket + Pickle sando was very bland, and the baguette bread used for the sandwich was very hard to bite into. Seasoning issue was also present in Tomato + Avo sandwich. The dealbreaker for us was the fries that came with in both dishes. They were both extremely over seasoned, as the picture shows. Very disappointing experience.

Pluses and minuses to this place. The view of the vineyard is exceptional. It's up on a hill looking down over rolling hills, and the whole site is nice really. The service is absolutely terrible though. They are way understaffed and don't set priorities. I paid $12 for a tasting but there person helping me couldn't get a full sentence out before someone showed up at the cash and she ran off leaving me waiting. For some reason I decided to have lunch there as well and the service was again painfully slow. Another plus, they have a phone booth in the vineyard where you can call anywhere in North America for free. The food is pretty good. I ordered two dishes and both came with hair in them. It left me wondering whether this was intentional flavouring or just a health code violation. One was a short black hair and the other was long blonde, so maybe these do have different seasoning properties. The wine is good and priced fairly for the quality. Might return for the nice views, but don't have too high expectations.

This vineyard is pretty hyped up. You know the whole instagram vs reality. This kinda has that going on. It's still a really nice place. I guess I just had different expectations based on the pictures and reviews I've seen and read. If you want to do some wine tasting. For some reason you are not allowed to sit down in the diner. You have to inconveniently stand in the entrance of the building and drink wine instead of being able to sit down in the diner enjoy the view and wine taste. I'm sure they would have many more people tasting the wines if there was a more enjoyable experience to do so. They also have outdoor seating that for some reason is only open on weekends. During the summer it should be open everyday to allow people to enjoy the full potential of this place as it looks to be a very nice seating arrangement outside. However we ate at the diner and the food was great. View was awesome and the staff was friendly.
