New Wasaga Beach Area — Attraction in Wasaga Beach

The upkeep at this park is inferior to the other beaches that Wasaga has to offer. It has great potential but it would appear the responsible parties, the town or the Ministry pay little heed to its upkeep. The beach was covered with bay debris, zebra mussels shells, some broken glass(washed up)., jagged tree branches etc...not very pleasant. Spoke with 2 couples one from Europe on vacation, they were extremely disappointed given the promotional material they had read prior to visiting Wasaga Beach. Even though it was a warm day they had no intension of entering the water due to the extended area of washed up debris, one had to go through to clean water. The second couple ,residents of Wasaga stated that the conditions were worse than usually and were very disappointed in the manner it was being upkept and planned to attend the Town Office and file an official complaint. This beach unlike 1to6 and Allenwood beaches appear not to receive the daily clean up as they do. As for beaches in Wasaga Beach for an enjoyable and safe outing, highly recommend beaches 4 to 6 and my preference Allenwood beach. Spacious beach with minimal parking. The parking for the New Wasaga Beach area is paid through the phone (the conversation can be lengthy because the staff want to make sure you understand their privacy policies regarding payment by card). Online payment is also another option, but the website will not show you payment for New Wasaga Beach, hence the phone call!

The beach itself is lovely.

Water Cleanliness:💧 It was ok, it wasn't the clearest water but it was a hot day when we went and it was nice to swim in the warm lake.

Depth: 🏊‍♂️ The water is shallow in some areas even when you go out further.

Beach: ⛱️ There's not a lot of shade, so reapply sunscreen multiple times or bring a beach tent/umbrella.

Pack snacks, garbage bags, and a lunch too. Maybe it was the part of the beach we were at but I didn't see much bins for garbage, or restaurants (except for a shop that was selling floaties and...

I had an amazing time at New Wasaga Beach!
