Wine Country Studios — Attraction in West Kelowna

We Googled and found West Kelowna artist Louise Lambert who paints beautiful, vibrant Okanagan scenes. In her studio, Louise Lambert was very professional, knowledgeable and experienced in painting portraits and landscapes. She had paintings in a variety of international settings and was very versatile using the mediums of oil, acrylic and pastels. She worked with us to select and agree upon the high level composition of the painting. She offered to do a mock-up that included the scale and content.

She came to our house to discuss the potential lighting of the painting, measure the space and help us decide which type and size of canvas would work best. She assessed the lighting in the area, measured the area and requested a wall color paint sample. She started promptly and emailed us updates weekly with pictures. She works collaboratively with us and requested feedback frequently so she could reflect our preferences.

Once complete, Louise and her husband brought our finished painting to our house. She had attached the hanging hardware and helped us hang the painting! The quality of the painting was excellent. Louise completed the painting on budget and on time. I would highly recommend Louise and Wine Country Studios!

We first met Louise and saw a number of her Okanagan paintings at an “Art in the Park” event at a local winery a few years ago. Her vibrant vineyard scenes captured the essence of our new home so perfectly that we purchased two of her pieces immediately and absolutely love them.

Since then we have purchased a nearby vineyard scene as a wedding gift for friends who were married in West Kelowna and commissioned a painting for our home. Louise was so helpful during the entire process of our commissioned work, including helping to choose the perfect scene from our photos, to finding out what season best reflected our colour preferences and updating us on the progress of her work. I had a lovely time visiting Louise’s studio. The drive up offered stunning views of the lake and vineyards - a great transition to seeing the wine country art first hand. The studio is so welcoming, and through the garden gate you are greeted by the artist herself and a warm atmosphere. You get to see not only the art but where she paints as well. The art was hung in a gallery style so you can peruse and ask questions.
