Nice clean beach. The garbage receptacles by the path to the beach were emptied quite frequently. The sand dunes, mountain ranges, and the cliffs offer nice views. The beach itself has a very generous amount of shallow water which made it great for our little boy. We went around 11 and beat the major crowds which came around 2. Very convenient to be able to park close to the walkway to the beach. Outhouses were not in the best of conditions...men's was quite dirty and the women's had a wasp nest and was out of service. Read moreProbably my favorite beach in Nova Scotia so far though the dirt/gravel road leading up to it is bumpy! The beach is quite shallow (knee to waist height) which also makes it warm. It is a long beach and even with a packed parking lot there's lots of space. Had a nice nap there! And seeing the mountains/hills in the distance is breathtaking!
