It was a bit difficult to tell where this park ended and the Rotary Sunrise Park began, so I'm lumping both into this one review. For some reason, these parks were not too crowded this past Saturday when we went, maybe because it was a long weekend and everyone was up at the cottage 😁 ... and even though it was a hot and hazy day, everything still looked so beautiful ... especially the water!! There were people walking their dogs along the boardwalk, children enjoying the playground and splash pad, bikers riding along a path through a wooded area, boaters sailing, birds chirping, lovely flowers ... and the beauty of nature was all around us. Of course, as an avid photographer, I loved going up to the lighthouse and taking pictures there along with the gorgeous scenery! This is definitely a great place just to unwind and spend a few hours, ... whether by yourself or with family and friends! šŸ˜ŠšŸ‘šŸ’œ

Gorgeous outdoor park with an extensive walking/running/cycling trail. There is also a play area and exercise equipment. It is very beautiful and peaceful in the fall. I definitely recommend!

I have been coming to this park since I was a little girl, so I definitely have a little bit of a bias. The waterfront is breathtaking. It’s not meant to be a beach to lay on since the shore is mainly pebbles, so people should not expect to be sunbathing there. I wouldn’t even recommend swimming in the water, but I have seen a lot of people do it. Just do it with caution and supervision for younger ones. Over the years, they definitely improved the playground and the splash pad. I have taken my nephew there in the summer and he loves it! And now that I have a dog, there’s lots of places for us to walk - the board walk to the lighthouse, all the way over to the trails. Great place to relax and enjoy the weather. The only thing I would change is adding more picnic tables around the park.

A very beautiful lakefront area with a large sandy waterfront! A beautiful marina has many boats anchored and the vessles are sailed in and out of the harbour daily! The lighthouse is well kept and is an attraction to many visitors! The memorial benches are well maintained and available for long stretches along the shore line of Lake Ontario. The picnic tables are clean and well maintained and many people have family picnics on the beautiful shoreline in complete view of Lake Ontario. The city of Whitby does a great job in the planting of shrubs and very beautiful, fragrant flowers! The butterflies are attracted to the flowers and it is a joy to sit in such amazing natural environment! Many times citizens with guitars and other musical instruments perform in the gazebo not far from the light house! I love to visit this natural wonder right on the...
