Wild Pink orchids, bright red wild berries, wind whistling through long untamed grass mixed with white, yellow and purple flowers and pine trees. The sound of waves crashing against sandy cliffs. Falcons and ravens circling high up in the sky. All these elements compose the South-side of the paved hiking trail, and make for a remarkably beautiful trail that is ideal for walking, cycling, rollerblading, and running.

On the North side near the beginning, in addition to all of the previously mentioned elements, there is an industrial complex at a distance that is fenced off. There is also a beautiful hill.

Quick Tip: if you decide to Trail off from the main paved trail to reach the shoreline, its best to wear a long sleeved shirt, pants, and shoes. The side-trails are beautiful but crowded with dense and bushy vegetation.

Quick Tip: this trail finds all of its character on a windy, grey, and cold day...

I went for the first time Spring, April 2024. There were SOO many bugs! Since it’s close to the water, these small fly looking bugs are swarming the place and they keep mating and multiplying. I’m sure it’s a great time in the summer.

It’s a great trail for walking your dog, biking, running etc. but I wouldn’t recommend it to someone who just wants a short, leisurely stroll. The trail is long and there’s no taking shortcuts to get back where you started. There’s some really nice rest points like a gazebo with benches, and a few lookouts on the water. Overall, a...

We did not visit the Conservation Area portion, but the private woods which are open to public access (no dogs please!) are excellent for nature lovers with children. Someone supplies birdseed and Black-capped Chickadees will eat from your hand. Please stick strictly to marked trails and respect the adjacent land owners' properties. It is a wonderful, peaceful place in nature, available to enjoy passively through the kindness and generosity of the...

Much quieter and more peaceful than the public parks in the area. I believe that there are a good variety of birds and wildlife, but they are not as accustomed to the presence of people as those say at Lynde Shores. You will hear lots of birds, and if you are patient and bring binoculars you will probably see some, but don't expect them to get very close to you. They are really wild birds here, not tamed by thousands of people coming to feed them.
