MacBride Copperbelt Mining Museum — Attraction in Whitehorse

Cute train. Small museum. Train diesel powered. Would have been nice if train driver spoke along the way to explain what we were looking at. Kids loved the train. Museum not completely interactive. But I've been on a huge forest museum in the Cowichan valley Vancouver island so I may have been used to more. Prices were fair. Overall fun experience and would still go again they were running a daycare out of it. Would have been nice if that was separated away because my kids kept trying to play games with the leader and kids and I had no idea if they were allowed but didn't understand why they weren't fully included. While this small museum describes the region's mining copperbelt history, the main attraction is the train ride through the woods. Unfortunately, the train had unexpected mechanical problems when we took it. That said, if you have time, coming here for the train ride is worth it.
