Whitestone Lake — Attraction in Whitestone

I used to visit my in laws at their cottage in the 80's.with my wife and stepson but haven't been there in many yrs. Both my in laws and my wife have passed and the cottage is gone. But it's still the most beautiful spot I've ever had the pleasure of spending time their fishing boating and eating at The Duck Rock Resort. But most of all the peace and quiet, sitting on the porch with no Big City noise , and the tranquil sounds of the Loons on the Lake. Thank you for the memories Harry & Elsie and my wife Diane. Whitestone Lake is home to my favourite type of Mason bee. The little buzzing is music to my tape player. Speaking of tapes I often record sounds of bees on tape and play them back to my niece while she dances around smelling chairs and other things in her house. She's always looking for nectar....

Rented a cottage for a week. Was a lot of fun but the lake water has a foul smell. Yellow/green in colour. Didn’t stop us from having fun, just had to shower and shampoo our hair...
